Cameroon’s Captain, Mbia Speaks Ahead Of Friendly Against Super Eagles

Ahead of the Nigeria’s match against the indomitable lions of Cameroon, captain Stephane Mbia says his teaming is aiming only for victory against the Super Eagles.

Speaking to africanfootball.com, Mbia said he will do his best to ensure the Eagles suffer a second straight defeat.

The Trabzonspor midfielder said: “Nigeria are a big and good football nation, so we must not think we will have a smooth ride over them. We will put in our very best in the game to make our supporters proud of us.

“Both teams are rebuilding but even despite that it’s going to be a tough game as ever between the two teams. I know it will be a difficult game.

“A Cameroon and Nigeria game is always a big one, though this is a friendly game, we aim for victory and it’s important for the team’s rebuilding process.”

The Super Eagles play Cameroon on Sunday, October 11 (kick0ff at 7pm). The Eagles lost 2-0 to DR Congo earlier in the week.

Cameroon meanwhile defeated KV Oostende 3-1 on Wednesday.
