Two injured in explosion at Niger Biscuit factory

 Two staff of Niger Biscuit Company Limited, makers of Oxford biscuits and other confectionery, sustained serious injuries when a gas explosion occurred at the company’s factory in the Apapa area of Lagos on Sunday.

According to ThISDAY, men of the state fire service and the Nigerian Ports Authority, rushed to the scene of the incident to contain the fire.

Two SUV within the premises were also destroyed in the explosion that happened after 2pm. One of the victims was a security officer deployed in the company few weeks ago. He was trying to put out the fire when he got burnt. In fact, only God can save him,” said an eyewitness.
