A taxi driver in his 50s reportedly slumped and died during s ex with a middle aged-woman at Lanjorin section of Muritala area, Ilorin on Tuesday night.
The deceased reportedly died, few hours after he had told his wife he was attending a three-day prayer vigil.
The incident, it was gathered occurred around 11pm.
The deceased was said to have been rushed by the woman’s neighbours to a private clinic in the area after he slumped and the woman began to scream for help but he was rejected at the clinic.
Some bystanders had earlier attempted to burn the clinic on allegations that the Director refused to treat someone brought in on emergency but later gave up their threat when they realised the dark-complexioned man was already dead.
Policemen from the ‘A’ Division later came to the hospital and took away and later deposited the corpse at the mortuary of the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH).
A woman who identified herself as wife to the deceased was said to have also arrived on the scene and lamented that her husband told her he was participating in a three-day vigil at a church in the vicinity.
