Bayelsa Football Teams Block Roads Over Non-Payment

                              Players of Bayelsa football teams, Bayelsa United and Bayelsa Queens, took to the streets of Yenagoa, the capital city to protest alleged refusal by the government to pay them arrears of salaries and allowances.
                   The players barricaded the road leading to the Bayelsa Government House at Opolo, obstructing traffic and lamenting unpaid allowances and sign-on fees.
                    They accused the government of planning to abandon them after their last 2014 league match scheduled for Sunday.

Jorge Beltrao Negromonte, his wife Isabel Cristina Pires, and his mistress Bruna Cristina da Silva claimed to be part of a sect that wanted to reduce the world's population and so have resulted into killing humans.

They lured a teenage mum to their home after promising her a job, slit her throat, and then fed bits of her flesh to her one-year-old child, whom they later started training to be a cannibal before they were arrested four years after.

Jorge Beltrao Negromonte, 52, his wife Isabel Cristina Pires, 53, and his mistress Bruna Cristina da Silva, 28, were also accused of killing and eating at least two women, as well as stuffing their victims’ flesh into pies they sold to schools and hospitals.

The trio have now been found guilty by a court in Olinda, north east Brazil. Negromonte was sentenced to 23 years in jail and the two women to 20 years in prison each for the crime.

Hamza Al-Mustapha who was not too long ago released from prison has replied former head of state, president Olusegun Obasanjo that he knows nothing about a killer squad neither does he head anyone for the present head of state.

In an interview with Premium Times Al-Mustapha described the accusation has rather unfortunate and also explains why he wants Mohammed Abacha to be the next Kano State Governor.

PT: How would you respond to the allegation by former President Obasanjo that you are heading a killer squad for President Jonathan?

Al-Mustapha: I have replied him that it is most unfortunate. That is what I said. And for him to have come up with that I’m sure he has no fact, he has no figures, and he has nothing to say other than what he has done. If he’s angry that God has granted us freedom, that’s another thing entirely. But to give such an allegation, weighty as it is in the eyes of the law, certainly that is a fundamental issue that cannot be brushed aside. I challenge him to an open a debate as a direct reply.

Lagos Speaker, Adeyemi-Ikuforiji, Atiku-Abubakar-and-Deputy-Speaker-Taiwo-Kolawole in Lagos TOday Friday.

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, was in Lagos on Friday evening where he met with members of the Lagos State House of Assembly.

In an interview with journalists after the meeting, Atiku speaks about his 2015 ambition, the issue of consensus candidacy in the opposition All Progressive Congress, APC, and the lingering Boko Haram crisis.

Hamza Al-Mustapha, an army major and former Chief Security Officer to the late Head of State, Sani Abacha, has challenged former president, Olusegun Obasanjo to an open debate following allegations by the latter that he is heading a killer squad for President Jonathan ahead of the 2015 general elections.
Speaking in a recent interview, Al-Mustapha said it is quite unfortunate that Obasanjo had to come with such allegations without facts and figures.

Explosion reportedly occurred in Kano Friday evening at Magasiku Filling Station, along Maiduguri road, opposite NNPC filling station in Hotoro area.

Barely 24 hours to his 50th birthday, the governor of Benue state, Gabriel Suswam narrowly escaped death on the Makurdi-Gboko highway when his convoy was involved in a ghastly accident with two commercial vehicles.

Three armed robbery suspects, who were arrested by the Lagos State Police Command, have said they joined secret cults and started robbing when they were still primary school pupils.
Abraham Nsong, Bright Chukwuemeka and Dare Adetunji– were arrested by operatives of the state Special Anti-Robbery Squad on November 2.
Our correspondent gathered that the suspects had allegedly gone to rob at Salvation Street, Oke Odan, Iyana Isashi area of Lagos, when they were apprehended.

It was learnt that one of their victims, identified simply as Eboge, sustained deep cuts on the head, while her daughter was also allegedly shot by the robbery suspects. The girl, whose name was given as Ann, was said to be recuperating in a hospital.
