Health officials transport an Ebola victim in Guinea
Sierra Leone’s Ebola outbreak is now the worst in Africa, according to World health Organization numbers.
West Africa currently has 6331 cases from the region, with 7,719 in Liberia and 7,798 in Sierra Leone, WHO said.
The number of cases from Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone totaled 17,800.
WHO experts tell Reuters that Sierra Leone cases have a mortality rate of 70 percent and is likely to be far higher than the figures show, WHO experts told Reuters.
Nigeria also had cases of Ebola in the country but successfully managed to curb the deadly virus out of the nation.
