Governor Ameachi holds Secret Meeting with PDP Governor, Sule Lamido

The quest by the APC to win the February 14 presidential election is very strong and one man who can't afford to leave anything to chance is Governor Rotimi Ameachi of Rivers who is the Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Organisation.
He visited Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa in Dutse, the state capital, on Sunday for a very important meeting which credible sources told AB was a strategic engagement for the election.
The two governors, who were members of the New PDP before five of them joined APC, held a closed-door meeting at the Presidential Lodge in Dutse, which started at about 10:05 a.m. and ended by 11:30 a.m.
Lamido drove himself to the meeting in Peugeot 206 car without speaking to journalists and returned to his official resident after the meeting, while Ameachi who also drove himself in a black Toyota Land Cruiser jeep with a few escort to the Government House, equally declined comment when approached by journalists.

Sources say Governor Lamido is not happy with President Goodluck Jonathan and he is already considering dropping a bombshell on the PDP by leaving the party at the die minute.

According to NAN, a respected APC chieftain in the state, Alhaji Farouq Aliyu, and the party’s candidate for Jigawa Central Senatorial district, Alhaji Sabo Nakudu, attended the secret meeting.
