Neymar is adamant that Barcelona team-mate Lionel Messi is better than Real Madrid adversary and Ballon d'Or holder Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Brazilian forward is in the midst of his second season playing alongside Messi at Camp Nou and their link-up play in Barca's current 11-match win streak has been notably impressive.
Barca's surge up to one point off Liga leaders Real Madrid in the table - playing fluid attacking football - has coincided with calls for Messi to be recognised as the best player in the planet once again, despite Ronaldo being crowned last month by Fifa as the Ballon d'Or winner for the second successive year.
Not only does Neymar think the prestigious accolade went to the wrong footballer, he thinks that Messi might just be the most brilliant player he's ever seen in action on a football pitch in his 23 years.
"Messi's the greatest footballer I've ever watched play," he told reporters on a trip to a Formula One testing circuit in Catalunya, where compatriot Felipe Massa was driving on Friday.
