Anambra Police Caution Politicians Against Violence

Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Hassan Karma, has cautioned politicians in the State to stay clear of violence in the forthcoming elections or be ready to face the full wrath of the law.

This warning came on the heels of alleged violence that broke out between All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP).

Mr. Karma said that politicians should learn to tolerate one another especially when it comes to mounting bill boards and displaying posters as all those cannot win elections for them rather their attitude.

Two days ago, violence broke out between APGA and PDP over space for display of posters which allegedly led to shootings, that left several people injured.

Mr. Karma advised all parents to call their wards to order and to the youths, he urged them to desist from thuggery as the police in the State is ever ready to contain and combat any issue that will bring violence."
