Jonathan Promises Military Will Recover All Lost Territories Soon

   Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan has said that the Nigerian Military is now fairly equipped enough to deal with the Boko Haram insurgency.

The President who spoke to Al Jazeera explained that the beginning of the nation’s war against terror was slightly tough for the military because they lacked certain weapons to combat the terrorist group.

He disclosed that the nation had recently received about 65 percent of the weapons being expected, making the military set to confront the terrorists.

When asked if the elections will be postponed again, President Jonathan said he does not think so, as he believed the election will hold on March the 28th as rescheduled by INEC.

“I don’t see why we should postpone it again because I am quite impressed with the successes going on in the north,” he said, further assuring citizens that the the military will soon regain all territories lost to Boko Haram.

On whether the INEC chairman will be sacked, the president said that it is improper to remove an officer who has not done something wrong.

He also made comments on corruption, and the 2015 budget, concluding that he was optimistic that he will win the election, but he will relinquish his office if someone else wins the election."
