PAN Organises Nationwide Test Drive For Journalists

Peugeot Automobile Nigeria Limited (PAN) has organized a nationwide test-drive for some selected members of the media from Lagos to Kaduna, aimed at creating public awareness on a number of its new generation vehicles.
Addressing a news conference shortly after the arrival of the test team from Lagos to PAN’s Corporate Headquarters in Kaduna on Monday, the company’s Managing Director, Ibrahim Boyi, said Peugeot vehicles still maintain old attributes of durability, luxury and ruggedness, with added new attributes of style and fuel efficiency to put it as the leading automobile company in Sub Saharan Africa.

He said that the objective of the media test is to restate the values of Peugeot vehicles through the unbiased driving experience of motoring editors and other experts and also informing the public about the evolution of Peugeot vehicles that are synonymous with quality.

With over a century of experience to its name, Peugeot is renowned for its expertise in making quality cars for Nigerians and Africa.

Notably among its brands in the past are 504, 404, 505, 406, 307 and 508. And in line with global competitiveness, the company has also commenced production of new generation vehicles such as 301, 3008 and 4008.

The new 3008 and 4008 brands which took inspiration from the SUV, also rose to the challenges of the future with technological equipment to enhance the driving pleasure and safety of the user.

It is against this background that the new vehicles were subjected to the test drive exercise to enable the participants tell the story from their own perspective.

The test drive team took off from Lagos on Saturday passing through some villages, smooth and rough roads across Oyo, Osun and Ondo states down to Lokoja the capital of Kogi State, where they made a stop over on Sunday.

The team continued its journey through Abuja, the nation’s capital and finally arrived Kaduna, the home of PAN on Monday afternoon where they were welcomed by the company’s management team.

Shortly on arrival, the group of selected journalists who participated in the across Nigeria test drive were taken round the factory to have a first hand knowledge of its production activities.

According to PAN’s Managing Director, Ibrahim Boyi, the test affords the media team to have an intimate experience with the products, and exposure to PAN’s quality production processes and quality assurances of its vehicles portfolio.

He also spoke about the value prepositions of Peugeot brand vehicles.

Mr Boyi said that the continuous patronage of Peugeot vehicles by government and Nigerians would not only improve the fortunes of the company, but would also translate into providing employment opportunities for the citizens."
