9-Year-Old Girl Who Published Book On Terrorism In Nigeria At Defence Headquarters (See Photos)

A 9 year old pupil of Unique Blossom School Maitama, Miss Splendour Joe Abisoye has presented to the Defence Headquarters a copy of her book titled “Effects of Terrorism on Children”.

Accompanied by her parents Rev. and Mrs Joe King Abisoye, Splendour stated that she was inspired to write the book as a result of the issue of terrorism occurrences in Nigeria and her interactions with children when she visited an Internally Displaced Persons Camp (IDPs).
She noted that the minds of these young ones have been debased. For instance, Splendour said, many of them were said to prefer to join Boko Haram group so as to be protected. Her inspiration was further boosted to write with the understanding that these terrorists were once children and only proper education could guarantee a terror free society.

She however sought to use the Defence Headquarters as a platform to reach out to other stakeholders in the fight against terrorism in the distribution of her books and to send them to all IDP camps, Almajiri schools and all military schools in Nigeria.
