Mikel Obi Set For Inter Milan Switch

According to the Daily Mail , one of Inter Milan’s targets is chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel. Mikel would be a second choice signing in case that Inter Milan, who just acquired Monaco’s French midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia, can’t take hold of Galatasaray’s Felipe Melo.

Inter Milan is also in talks with attacking midfielder Juan Cuadrado according to Gianluca DiMarzio.

The Italian journalist reports that with Fiorentina in advanced talks to secure Salah’s definitive transfer, a window has opened to Inter Milan to swoop in for the Colombian player.

The deal would be a loan with a forced option to buy, as is custom with most Italian transfers that they might consider a risky investment.

Both rumours make sense. Mikel was most recently linked with UAE club Al-Ain, but many people feel that he still has something to offer in a top European club, and Italy seems to be a perfect fit for him.

As for Cuadrado, after a less than impressive Copa America showing excluding one game against Brazil his future with Chelsea doesn’t look any brighter.

Chelsea might be wise in trying to cut or diminish their losses after signing the player in the latest winter transfer window."
