A pensioner has been accused of trying to scam a driver.The unnamed elderly woman was spotted climbing under a car after it stopped at a red light. Mr Chen, the driver, said he heard sounds coming from his car after he stopped at traffic lights in Hubei province, central China, on July 22. According to People's Daily Online,he got out of his vehicle and saw an elderly woman lying under the car.Mr Chen was surprised and baffled about where the woman came from.
Police was called and the woman was taken to hospital by ambulance. Witnesses said the elderly woman climbed under the car herself. However, without CCTV footage, police had to detain the car for further investigation.Following the incident, another driver came forward with footage he had recorded in his car.
