Residents of Itu Road, Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, on Wednesday, woke to a horror sight, following the murder of Daniel Bassey Solomon, a middle-aged barber by a close family friend and supposed boss, Steven Onowa, a graduate of Federal Polytechnic Oko, from Anambra State. Onowa has since been arrested by the Police in Akwa Ibom.

Confessing to the crime, Onowa said, he invited the deceased to his house for an urgent meeting and drugged his beer. He added that at about 3:00am he decided to kill him. Onowa said what infuriated him was that the deceased shouted on him when he asked for the N750,000 he was owing him.

He said the case was even reported to the SARS about last year, but the deceased refused to pay him till today. The suspect said, he cut Solomon into pieces to ease carriage, adding that he doesn't deal in human parts.
