A 32-year-old woman, Aisha Umar, a resident of Dei-Dei, Abuja, has been dragged before an Abuja Grade 1 Area Court sitting in Kubwa, a satellite town in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), reports Daily Trust.
According the police prosecutor, Babajide Olanipekun, the complainant who resides at Phase 2, Site 1, Kubwa, reported at the Police Station that the accused had stole her gold jewelry valued at N100, 000 and Umar was arrested.
However, when the charge was read to the accused, she pleaded not guilty and was granted bail in the sum of N200,000 by the judge, Mohammed Marafa, with one reasonable surety who must be resident within the court jurisdiction, while the case was adjourned till December 2, for hearing.
