Jefferson Airplane Co-Founder Paul Kantner Dead at 74

Guitarist and founding member of Jefferson Airplane Paul Kantner has died at the age of 74, according to multiple reports.Kantner’s publicist confirmed the news to the San Francisco Chronicle that said he died Thursday of multiple organ failure.
He is survived by the remaining founding members of the band Jack Casady, Grace Slick, Marty Balin and Jorma Kaukonen. Kantner was also a founding member of the band’s spin-off project Jefferson Starship.
