Married teacher who had se x with a female student is banned from seeing her children

  Laura Garrigus, a 30 year old married woman and mother of three has been banned from seeing her own children after being accused of having a se xual relationship with a 17 year old female student for several months.
Laura, from North Carolina resigned from her job as a teacher at the Cumberland International Early College after reports of her alleged lesbian behaviour emerged in December. She was arrested yesterday Feb. 8th after the teenage girl eventually went to the police and confessed to the consensual relationship.

The teacher has now been charged with four counts of taking indecent liberties and two counts of se xual offence with a student. She has also been banned from having any contact with children under the age of 18 including her two sons and a daughter.

When Laura was informed about the ban in court, she became very emotional and asked the judge:
“Not even my own children?”.
The presiding judge, Judge Cheri-Siler-Mack responded:
“You will not be around any child under age 18.”
The alleged se xual relationship between the teacher and student was consensual, however, the teacher is charged under their state laws that ban se x between a teacher and their student.
