Former IICC Shooting Star Defender 'Moses Otolorin, Dies At 67

       FORMER IICC Shooting Stars defender Moses Otolorin is dead. He died on Monday in his home town Ilorin at the age of 67 years during a protracted illness.

His demise came less than a month after the death of former Stationery Stores of Lagos legend, Yomi Peters who was buried at the weekend.

According to the information gotton, the former Nigerian international  died of prostate and anus cancer at a private hospital in Ilorin.


His remains have since been deposited at a mortuary in the city.

The Shooting Stars stocky and power-built centre forward’s death makes him the sixth member of the 1976 heroic IICC Shooting Stars squad to have died. He was noted for his powerful shots and long throw in and scored more than half of the 15 goals the Shooting Stars had in winning the African Winners Cup in 1976.

He was also a member of the team which lost in the final of the 1984 African Champions Cup.
