                           Just as former president Chief Olusegun Obasanjo decided to part way with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) by publicly shredding his PDP membership card, it probably was not foreseen that his action would be replicated so soon.

In a new development, the senior special assistant on security to Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo of Gombe state has also decided to go the Obasanjo way.

Alhaji Abdullahi Babangida Muhammad has supported the former president Obasanjo’s idea of tearing up his PDP membership card. The aide to the governor of Gombe was shown on camera shredding his PDP membership card and pledging his allegiance to the All Progressives Congress (APC)."

Obasanjo, who is a founding member of The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the first democratically elected president of the party in 1999, shocked many yesterday, February 16, when he tore up his PDP membership card.
