Briefing newsmen in Owerri the Imo State capital, the State Chairman of the Union, Mr Kenneth Eloka said the move to call off the strike was the outcome of an agreement reached between State executives of the union and the Imo State government.
He added that the union had also decided to call the strike off in the interest of the State judicial sector.
It could be recalled that JUSUN embarked on the nationwide strike on Jan 5 following the non-implementation of the judgment of a Federal High Court in Abuja, granting financial autonomy to the judiciary.
However, since federal workers of the union called off its strike January 25 at the recent NEC meeting of the union in Abuja, they directed State chapters to the State governments to resolve the issue.
The Imo State chapter would be the 5th State to call off its strike in the country."
