Okorocha Lauds INEC For Extension Of PVC Collection

Major streets in Owerri the Imo State capital, on Monday, experienced a heavy traffic gridlock following the return of the State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, from his 2-weeks trip in the United Kingdom.

The Governor had been away since the postponement of the general elections.

Speaking to newsmen at the Sam Mbakwe Airport in Owerri, Governor Okorocha expressed optimism that his party, the APC, would emerge victorious at the forthcoming elections in the state.

Adding that, as promised earlier, if elected into office the second time, his administration would provide enabling environment for industrialization.

The Governor lauded INEC on the extension of the distribution of the Permanent Voter Cards which he said would go a long way to enable people collect their cards and vote against bad government.

He advised the people to come out en masse and collect their PVCs.

The Governor moved round major areas in the Owerri metropolis in a motorcade, before getting to the Government House."
