Dog Attacks Woman And Bites Her Breast

Something bizarre happened in the Olodi- Apapa area of Lagos State on May 5, Tuesday.

A dog reportedly bit the breast of a woman identified as Helen Asiquo.

According to Leadership report, Helen had gone to visit her friend, Mary Alaegbu in her residence along Kirikiri road.

When she got to the veranda of the house, she found her friend’s baby boy crawling and decided to cuddle him.

While she was at it, a dog named Whiskey, ran out from the backyard and attacked her, biting her breast. The baby was said to have fallen from her laps.

Recounting what happened, one of Mary’s neighbour’s, who identified himself as Emmanuel Ike said the dog was very protective of the child and does not allow strangers get close to the baby because it is the owner’s child.

He said: “The stranger did not know that the dog does not allow strangers to touch the baby. When she came the baby’s mother was inside their apartment. Before she would come out of the room the dog had given her friend a real shock. The dog bit her in the breast.”

He added that Helen was taken to a hospital for treatment and they have taken care of anti-rabies treatment so she is safe from rabies.

There have been several cases of dogs attacking people in Nigeria and leaving them with serious injuries. Last year October, a four-year-old boy, Omonigho Abraham was attacked by two German shepherd dogs in his parents home on Adegboyega Street, Akesan Estate, Igando area of Lagos State."
