Falconets Beat Liberia In Under-20 World Cup Qualifier

Nigeria’s preparation to feature in the 2016 FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup received a boost as the Falconets demolished their Liberian counterparts by seven goals to nil.
Falconets, Chinaza Uchendu initiated the 7-goal thriller by scoring the first goal in the 23rd minute with Ojinma Amarachi following up with the second goal in the 25th minute.

Aminat Yakubu increased the tally to three in the 26th minute with Yetunde Adedoye compounding the woes of the Liberians with another goal in the 38th minute.

All efforts by the Liberians to stop the goal feast in the second half proved abortive as Bokiri Ebi further increased the tally to five in the 71st minute.

Three minutes later, Aminat Yakubu made it six before Bokiri Ebi rounded off the goal feast with the seventh goal in the 84th minute.

The Falconets had earlier walloped the Liberians 7-1 in the first leg played two weeks earlier in Monrovia.

The Liberian Coach, however, expressed satisfaction with the performance of his girls saying its a young team.
