Kris Jenner is opening up more than 20 years after her friend
Nicole Brown Simpson’s murder. In a new documentary entitled
The Secret Tapes of the O.J. Case: The Untold Story, the ex-wife of
Caitlyn Jenner
says she feels intense guilt about not being able to save her friend
from signs of intense abuse in her marriage to football legend
O.J. Simpson.
“I
will always feel guilty that I didn’t pay more attention and didn’t
speak up when I thought anything was wrong or asked her more, ‘Do you
want to talk about it?’” the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star says.
Brown
Simpson was stabbed to death on June 12, 1994, leading to the famous
murder trial of ex-husband O.J., 68, who was acquitted of murder in
1995. Jenner’s late ex-husband,
Robert Kardashian — the father of
Kim,
Khloe,
Kourtney, and
Rob Kardashian — worked on the former NFL star’s defense team.
“At
the end of Nicole’s life, I think she finally was at a place where she
knew she had to be more vocal with what was going on and she was in
trouble,” Jenner says in the documentary. “The one thing she would tell
all of us by the time, you know, it got to that level was, ‘He’s going
to kill me and he’s going to get away with it.’”
