Chelsea Sign Italian Goalkeeper In A Surprise Deal (See)

Chelsea Football Club has signed former AC Milan goalkeeper, Marcos Amelia on a free transfer. The 33-year-old is expected to provide cover for Asmir Begovic since first choice goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois is out injured till December.

Amelia has signed a contract which will keep him at Stamford Bridge till the end of the season. The Italian has been a free agent since he left Serie B side, Perugia in the summer and has recently been on trial with the Premier League champions.

He has been handed the number 32 jersey and is available for when Chelsea welcomes Aston Villa on October 17.
