The operatives arrived the residence of the former Customs boss located at 6, Ahmed Musa Crescent, Jabi, at about 7 a.m., in two white colored Toyota buses with registration numbers RSH 555 ABJ, and BWA 645 GA.
They immediately cordoned off the road leading to the residence as some of the anti-graft officials, said to be numbered about seven, searched different sections of the property for documents.
However, the EFCC officials’ mission to the residence of the ex-Customs chief has not been ascertained.
It would be recalled that Dikko stepped down from his position as Comptroller-General of Customs on August 18, 2015 after serving in that position for six years.
Meanwhile, it was reliably gathered that the former customs boss was not at home at the time the EFCC raided his residence.
When contacted, the Head, Media and Publicity of EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren, said he was not aware of a search on the property of Mr. Dikko and promised to get back to our correspondent, which he never did at the time of publishing this report.
