Former presidential candidate, Emmanuel Osita Okereke, has warned former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode to stop insulting President Muhammadu Buhari.
Okereke, a member of the African Liberation Party (ALP), further described Fani-Kayode as a failure, Daily Post reports.
He reportedly made the comments on Thursday, January 7, 2016, while addressing journalists in Enugu.
“Fani-Kayode has been involved in the government since 1999 to 2015 and somebody like him should not be talking. He was a minister of Culture and Tourism and a minister for Aviation. As a minister, Fani-Kayode could not renovate one single airport. Can he tell us this is his achievement as minister of aviation? Can he tell us this is his achievement as minister of Culture and tourism? He was special adviser to Obasanjo,” Okereke said.
“When he became the spokesman of Jonathan campaign organization, what was his achievement? If he had capacity as a media person he would have found out the fault and the problem while Jonathan could not win the election. So I look at him as a failure.
“President Buhari is not his mate and he never contested the same position with him. They had the power, they couldn’t manage the power and power has been given to someone else,” he added.
Fani-Kayode has frequently criticized Buhari and accused him of being a dictator among other things.
