Nigerian Senate Withdraws Anti-Social Media Bill

 Today, the Nigerian Senate has withdrawn the frivolous petition bill known as the Anti-social media bill intended to report the conduct of any person in an investigation, inquiry or inquest without a duly sworn affidavit from the High Court of a State or a Federal High Court which was sponsored by Senator Bala Ibn Na’Allah.
At the plenary today, the house received the Report of the committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters that examined the legality of the bill. The bill was withdrawn following the examination of the report.
