Oil Mogul, Jide Omokore Arrested By EFCC

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested a strong ally of  Diezani Alison-Maduekwe, Jide Omokore, owner of SPOG and Atlantic Energy. Omokore is accused of involvement in multi-billion dollar oil deals, including kerosene scam that rocked the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).

The hit started on Friday, October 2, when Omokore’s Ikoyi residence as well as his office on Glover Street, also in Ikoyi were raided and lockdown by EFCC officials.

According to sources, he is being investigated by EFCC.
