Drunk Florida Woman Arrested After Dialing 911 For Chicken Wings, Cigarettes

One of the most easily memorable numbers in the U.S is 911 and it is so because it is the number to dial in case of emergency and help is nowhere.

As part of their duties, 911 operators receive calls from Americans requesting help in life and death emergency situations but imagine their shock when a Florida woman calls in and asks for chicken wings and cigarettes?

The 45-year-old Clermont woman identified as Liann Gae Watson, according to an arrest report, called the emergency number requesting someone to bring her chicken wings and cigarettes.

When deputies responded to the call, which was placed from her apartment, Watson kept requesting for cigarettes and when it was not provided, she asked if the deputies could drive her to go get some.

An arrest report said the woman confessed her 911 call was a joke but that she’d been drinking and unable to drive hence the call with the hope that someone could drop the items off to her.

Amid switching between hysterical laughter and crying as she spoke, deputies said Watson got violent when she was put in cuffs and in the back of their patrol car, kicking her legs and hitting her head against the car.

To prevent her from causing serious injury to herself, an arrest affidavit said the deputies had to place restraints on Watson’s legs.
