2015: Kwankwaso Urges Youths To Shun Violence

Gov. Rabiu Kwankwaso

Gov. Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano State on Friday urged youths in the country to shun violence during and after the 2015 general elections.

Kwankwaso gave the advice while receiving the new Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in the state, Alhaji Munkaila Abdullahi at the Government House, Kano.
The governor said the call became necessary to ensure peaceful atmosphere during and after the exercise.

He, however, called on the electorate to come out en masse to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) being distributed across the wards of the state.

In his remark, the REC said that the distribution of PVCs in the state continued in spite some hitches.

He assured that those that registered in the late 2014 would get their permanent voter cards as soon as possible, stressing that no one would vote without PVC.
