‘It’s Been Difficult’ – Mellisa Rivers On Her Mom’s Remembrance

It’s been one year when we lost popular Comedian, Joan Rivers, and days after cracking wry jokes on Fashion Police in her mother’s honour, Mellisa Rivers is remembering Joan Rivers on the anniversary of her tragic death today.

History wont forget too quickly, the renowned boundary-breaking comedian passed on September 4th,2014, a week after she stopped breathing during a routine surgical procedure on her vocal chords.

In her words: “Today marks one year since my mother passed,” Melissa, 47, said in a statement released through Joan’s official Twitter account. “This was a year of firsts: first holidays, first birthdays, first every things without mom, without grandma. While it’s been difficult, I’ve been amazed by the outpouring of love and overwhelming kindness we’ve received from family, friends and people whose lives were touched by the woman they knew as Joan – a woman we all miss very much.”
