Bisi Alimi Writes About Not Seeing His Parents For 8 Years Because Of His Gay Status (Read)

Openly gay Nigerian living in the United Kingdom,Bisi Alimi has lamented about his inability to see his parents in Nigeria for many years out of fear of persecution as regards his sexuality.

Gay rights activist Bisi Alimi wrote on his Instagram page some hours ago that he hasn’t seen his parents for 8 years now, because of hateful Nigerians that made him run away from home.

Being gay is a crime in Nigeria that attracts a jail term of 14 years which could see Bisi behind bars on a lengthy note.
