CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele Loses Mother

The Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria  (CBN), Godwin Emefiele has lost his mother, Madam Alice Emefiele. She died on December 25. She died after brief illness.

The CBN Governor, who confirmed the news of the death of her mother in an interview, disclosed that the deceased died at the Intensive Care Unit of St Nicholas Hospital, Lagos after a brief illness. Madam Emefiele a devout Christian (a Protestant) was survived by seven children including Mr. Godwin Emefiele, the CBN Governor.

Born in Agbor, in Ikah South Local government area of Delta State, Madam Emefiele was said to be a petty trader in addition to her farming activities during her lifetime.
The CBN Governor told our reporter that the family would announce burial arrangements later.
