The LAPD’s internet Crimes Against Children Task Force unit served a search warrant early this morning at an address in Sunland, California where the 33-year-old TV star lives.Cops searched his computer and say they found hundreds of indecent images of child sexual exploitation.
Officer Aaron Jefferson from the LAPD confirmed to Daily Mail Online Salling had been arrested on child porn charges on Tuesday morning. He is now being held in Los Angeles’ Downtown jail.
The allegations were first reported by Crime Watch Daily.
TMZ reported that an ex-girlfriend tipped off the cops, forcing them to investigate before the raid to check it wasn’t for revenge.
Salling posted a picture of him with a squirrel on Christmas Day to Twitter and had recently returned from a vacation in Costa Rica.
According to records, the house raided by the LAPD belongs to Jonathan Hernandez, who has been Salling’s roommate as far back as 2011.
It’s not known who is currently living there.
