14 Soldiers Killed During Baga Invasion – Military

                The Defence Headquarters says that about 14 soldiers were killed in action during the attack on Baga town, Borno State by Boko Haram insurgents last Saturday.

A statement issued by Director, Defence Information, Major-General Chris Olukolade, confirmed this, adding that over 30, who were wounded, have been receiving medical attention.

He further stated that most of those declared missing in action had also rejoined their unit in the ongoing reorganisation for further operations.

General Olukolade added that although, several of the terrorists died in the course of the attack, the actual figure of civilian casualties has yet to be creditably determined.

According to the Military Spokesperson, troops are on mopping up operation around Damaturu after successfully foiling and containing the terrorists attempt to occupy parts of the town.
