General Leader of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Surulere, Special Apostle Prophet (Dr) Gabriel Olubunmi Fakeye, on Sunday passed away.
He died at his residence, 14, Onikelere, Cement Bustop, Lagos after an illness. Fakeye was born in 1937.
An Engineer by training, the late Prophet Fakeye was a devoted prophet of God, a person of manifest devotion to family and friends, a visionary leader with profound knowledge, grasp, and appreciation of history. He was also a renowned televangelist and radio evangelist.
Prophet Fakeye popularly called G.O. Fakeye was reported to have died in a U.S. hospital, however other sources say he died in at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH).
He would have clocked 79 years on March 11, 2015.
Popularly known as the “The Psalmist”, the late C&S leader is survived by wife, a son, six daughters and grandchildren.
