The Germany international has been repeatedly vocal about his desire to find increased first-team opportunities and is now set to leave Arsenal for the second half of the season

Arsene Wenger revealed on Thursday that the Serie A club had tabled a "more serious" bid for the Germany international after slamming their opening offer as "farcical".

"I am very happy [to be joining Inter]," Podolski told reporters.

"I expect so much from this adventure. I know the Italian league very well. We are aiming to qualify for the Champions League and to win in the Europa League.

"I have spoken with Mancini, I think he is a great coach."

Podolski has been repeatedly vocal with his desire to leave Arsenal since the summer after failing to start a Premier League game this season and will undergo a medical ahead of a loan exit on Saturday.
