Last week, when the actor confessed to having the disease for more than four years, the 50-year-old hinted he had an idea how he contracted the virus.
The actor believes he was made HIV-positive by a transsexual he hired to come to his home in Los Angeles, said a source.
The source said: “Charlie has for a long time had a fascination with transsexual men.
“His curiosity got the better of him and he hired several, ordering them to his home at various times. He fears during one of his first encounters he was given HIV and he is concerned it was all caught on tape.
“His lawyers are bracing themselves for further revelations about his tryst believing the details are imminent.” When asked by Today show host Matt Lauer if he knew when he was infected he replied: “Sitting here today erm not entirely no.”
However since going on live television to say “I am HIV positive” his use of transsexuals has since been revealed.
Prior to his admission, the dad-of-five was notorious for his philandeering and once boasted of having bedded more than 5,000 women.
It is claimed, he paid tens of thousands of dollars for sex with transsexuals, with one madame saying he asked her girls for pre-op transsexuals.
