Jennifer Lawrence has the world at her feet but deep down she’s just a regular gal at heart.
The
Hunger Games star has revealed that her favorite moment of 2015 was
hanging out with bestie Amy Schumer who’d been invited to dance on stage
to Uptown Girl at a Billy Joel concert in August.
‘Amy is, like, the s**t,’ Lawrence said in an interview with the magazine. ‘We got so drunk we ended up on top of Billy Joel’s piano. That was really cool….she didn’t have to share that piano with me and she did.’
The
pair’s performance with the Piano Man was arranged as a nod to the
final scenes of Schumer’s box office hit Trainwreck where she dances to
Joel’s Uptown Girl with the New York Knicks cheerleaders at Madison
Square Garden.
She happened to be in
Chicago at the same time as the singer played Wrigley Field and,
Lawrence recalled, dragged the Oscar-winning actress along with her to
the event.
The two women, who met in July, have become firm friends and are writing a screenplay together.
Meanwhile, the 25-year-old Lawrence tells EW that it’s finally sinking in that her role as Katniss Everdeen has ended.
‘It’s crazy,’she said. ‘I signed on to these projects when I was 20 years old. I remember being like, ‘Oh my God, I’m going to be 25 when I’m finished.’ It seemed so far away.’
With Mockingjay – Part 2 finally opening in movie theatres this past weekend, the actress says the franchise feels done.
‘It does feel over. It didn’t for a while and I didn’t think it would ever sink in, but it has now. It feels over. And that’s okay. It’s okay to move on,’ she said.
