Fear reportedly griped the people of Umuariam community in Obowo Local Government Area of Imo State on Monday, after an elder brother butchered his younger brother with a machete.
Vanguard reported that the deceased, a 47-year-old man identified as Madukaku Oguh, was quarreling with his elder brother’s wife, Mrs. Linda Oguh when the tragic incident occurred.
An eyewitness said the deceased had a cold-hearted relationship with his elder brother whose name was given as Aligwekwe Oguh as well as his wife.
The witness said on that fateful day, the deceased came back from work and met his brother’s wife seating at the entrance to the family compound, adding that the trouble broke out when Linda accused her brother in-law of looking at her suspiciously and started raining abuses on him.
