The Guardian, Sunday Wisdom who spoke to correspondent Us said the incident took place on 8th of this month when the suspect, Promise Richard living in their neighborhood sent the little girl for an errand.
Mr. Wisdom said the victim came back to deliver the message when the suspect locked the door and allegedly raped her.
He said the girl was rescue by the intervention of neighbor who heard the screaming of the girl. He accused the police of bias following the release of the suspected without his consideration.
He said despite of doctors reports, the police went ahead and released Mr. Promise Richard with the sum of 17 thousand naira.
Meanwhile, A Port Harcourt based human rights group, Initiative for Advancement of Humanity has vowed to take up the matter.
