Thee traditional annual run is organised by the Alpha Phi Omega fraternity, which calls for transparency in their Government’s anti-corruption policies.

The nude protest in Manila, the capital city of the Philippines, was atteneded by freshmen, current students and even alumni.

Ed Lucero, an alumni organiser of the fraternity explained their actions: “Our theme is ‘Unveiling the road’ because the government needs to be naked, to be transparent with their work. It means we should strive very hard to strip them bare, not a fake road where only a few can benefit.”
The annual rite began in the late 197os, and had since then become a way for student advocacy on socio-political issues.640_up2_2015_12_05_13_01_57
According to the APO fraternity, this year’s demonstration was a call for change and a call for 2016 candidates “to be genuine leaders who really want to serve the country.”
