Governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress may reject the House of Representatives Speaker, Aminu Tambuwal, Punch reports.
It was gathered that some of the governors lined up behind the former head of state, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) as the preferred presidential candidate of the party for the 2015 election. It was learnt that some of the governors believe that the people asking the Tambuwal to contest for Presidency in 2015 are enemies of the party.
Two of the governors, on Friday and Saturday hinted that they are going to work for Buhari, adding that there was no way they would support Tambuwal.
One of the governors, who spoke on phone, said he and his colleagues were not worried with Tambuwal’s picking of the party’s presidential form, expressing optimism that Tambuwal is not going far.
