Civilian JTF To Protect Borno Schools
Ahead the November 17 school resumption date, the Borno State Government has revealed plans to employ the services of Civilian JTF, to provide security in public schools.
Dr Mohammed Dongel, the Chairman of the 19-man committee on the resuscitation of primary school education in the state, made this known on Sunday during a meeting with education secretaries and headmasters of public schools in Maiduguri.
It was gathered that public schools in the state were expected to resume on Monday after being shut on March 16 due to the Boko Haram destructive activities in the state and other north eastern part of the country.
According to him, the vigilantes had already been contacted to provide surveillance in all schools in the state.
