The All Progressives Congress (APC) today vowed to take the
power from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2015 general
election through people-oriented policies, which they consider will be
able of bringing much-desired change to millions of Nigerians.
The chairman of the party, John Odigie Oyegun, made it known at a rally named “Salvation Rally,” held at Eagle Square in Abuja with hundreds of the party’s followers.
Party leadership and chieftains included Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.), Ogbonaya Onu, Nasir El-Rufai , Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Rotimi Amaechi, Abdufatai Ahmed, also attended the event.
The chairman in his speech told the supporters that the APC will move the ruling party even in the local government areas as a result of the PDP party’s misconduct of the insecurity crisis.
Oyegun also said that the policies of the APC will give every Nigerian a sense of belonging and save the country from total fail and devastation.
The guests of the rally paraded through the Federal Secretariat to Unity Fountain with different banners with anti-Jonathan writings.
The rally is expected to carry on tomorrow at the same place.
The party inaugurated their National Convention/Primary Election Committee on Tuesday with former Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi as Chairman.
