Transfer Rumours: Petr Cech, Sami Khedira Heading To Arsenal
Reports suggests Wenger has already held talks with the Blues and has agreed a deal to sign the veteran goalkeeper in January. Daily Star reports.
The french man is eager to strengthen his options in the goal-keeping department of the club, and is allegedly willing to offer Chelsea £7m to acquire 32-year old Cech from the blues.
Several reports have suggested the Czech international is unhappy with his current situation at the club. The former Rennes goalkeeper has been Chelsea’s second choice as a result of Belgian goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois return from Atletico Madrid after his 3-years loan spell at the Spanish club.
In a related development, Goal.com reports that, Arsenal’s Vice-Captain, Per Mertesacker has and his German compatriot, Mesut Ozil have spoken to Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira about joining Arsenal.
“I’m up for more quality Germans to [join] the club, Ozil and I spoke with Khedira a few times to join Arsenal. His contract is up next summer.” He said.
Khedira has made just five substitute appearances for Madrid this term, with Carlo Ancelotti preferring Toni Kroos and Luka Modric in central midfield.
