Although, the cause of the explosion is yet to be ascertained as at the time of filing this report, men of the Lagos state Fire Service are battling to contain the fire.
According to an eyewitness, the tanker fell-off the bridge and then burst up in flames upon contact with the ground.
The fire immediately spread through the canal within the area as patients of the Randle General Hospital were immediately evacuated after the building beside it was completely engulfed in the inferno.
Several commercial buses, popularly known as ‘danfo’ were completely burnt down. However, the number of casualty is yet to be known. Details later.
