BREAKIN: Nigeria's Dream Team VI Qualify For Rio Olympics

Nigeria’s Dream Team VI are through to the final at the ongoing U-23 Africa Nations Cup. Etebo Oghenekaro’s strike in the 76th minute from the penalty spot ensured that Siasia’s men qualified for Rio 2016 Olympics.

It’s a make or mar encounter for both nations as Nigeria’s Dream Team VI face hosts Senegal for a place in the final at the ongoing U-23 African Cup Nations.

The Lions of Teranga topped Group A with maximum nine points, and also boast of a very good defence as they won all their matches in the group stage, scoring six goals and conceding just one.

21′ Nigeria begins to attack. Kufre Ebong wins a throw, as the Dream Team continues to knock the ball around.

19′ Yet again! Another infringement for the hosts just at the edge of the Nigerian ’18’.

17′ Fantastic save by Daniel puts the ball into touch. Corner to Senegal.

15′ Oduduwa Segun has been very efficient for the Dream Team in the middle. However, he has just gifted Senegal a freekick in a dangerous position.

13′ A Chance for Senegal to take the lead……Daniel blocks the shot. That was a good save to deny Keita from putting the hosts ahead.

11′ An electrifying run by Ismaila exposes him on-on-one with Nigeria’s goalkeeper, but the power behind his curl was weak to trouble the Nigerian goalkeeper.

8′ Nigeria wins a goalkick. The Lions of Teranga are looking nervous, however they are playing with huge support.

6′ Thioune brought-down in the centre-circle as referee awards a freekick to the hosts.

4′ Junior Ajayi pounces on a loose ball…..but his effort was too tame to trouble Senegal goalkeeper. Nigeria are looking good for this game.

3′ Etebo strikes a powerful shot from 30 yards out. Great goal keeping from the Senegal shot stopper.

2′ The Senegalese are looking for an early goal, but the through pass to Keita was labeled “offside” by the referee.
