Manchester United are interested in signing youngster Mattew Olosunde, a Nigerian born in the USA and playing for the New York Red Bulls.
According to the Daily Mail UK, the 17-year-old has been training with the former English champions since the summer and coach Louis Van Gaal is reportedly impressed by the young player’s abilities.
The New-Jersey born youngster has represented the USA at various under-age levels where he has played at both centre-back and right-back.
The only hitch preventing the transfer of the player is a work permit and international clearance.
In another development, the former Real Madrid, Chelsea, AC Milan and PSG boss Carlo Ancelotti has indicated he would be interested in coaching Manchester United.
